Chairman of the Board of Trustees

Mr. Sukdev has over 30 years of experience in the Retirement Funds and Financial Services sector. A qualified actuary with an MBA, he has worked across Africa, contributing to defined contribution funds. He served as CEO of the Government Pensions Administration Agency from 2015 to 2020, reporting to the Minister of Finance.

Now, he holds leadership roles as an Independent Trustee, Principal Officer, and Non-Executive Director, and serves on several boards, including the Independent Development Trust and Liberty Life Funds. Mr. Sukdev’s leadership will strengthen the MWPF Board’s mission of promoting members’ financial well-being with integrity.

Since becoming a self-administered fund we have become more efficient and remained firm in our commitment to member centricity.

Over and above the statutory audit the Fund commissioned an independent triennial review in order to check alignment to our stated objective of embarking on the self-journey.

The result of this audit provides assurance beyond doubt that the fund has significantly improved in servicing our members. Governance structures were also tested and benchmarked against other similar entities and were found to be above par.
